The Lawton - Southwestern Power Station Transmission Line Rebuild Project involves rebuilding about 36 miles of 138-kilovolt transmission line to increase electric reliability and strengthen the local power grid.
Project Updates
Summer 2025: PSO representatives plan for pre-construction activities to start in early fall along the right-of-way. This work may include:
- Placing stakes and ribbon within the company's easement on your property
- Installing temporary gates, fencing and access roads
- Installing culverts for water management
- Trimming or removing trees and other woody-stemmed vegetation, as appropriate, within the transmission line right-of-way
