Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) is developing plans to strengthen the transmission system in northeastern Indiana. The proposed improvements in Jay County would increase reliability, lessen power outages, and speed recovery of service when outages occur.

Summer 2019: Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) announces the Jay County Area Improvements project and holds an open house to gather feedback from the community.
I&M will build the line with steel monopole structures averaging 90-120 ft. Structures will be placed within a 100-foot right-of-way. I&M is committed to meeting the energy needs of customers while protecting the environment and natural beauty of the region.
