Naismith Transmission Line Project

AEP Texas representatives plan to improve electric reliability in San Patricio County.

Project Updates

August 2026: AEP Texas representatives hosted an in-person open house on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 5-7 p.m. at the Gregory Community Center. During the public open house, landowners had the opportunity to view detailed maps, talk to project team members about project plans, the PUC regulatory approval process, the project need and benefits and the routing analysis process.

Company representatives plan to file a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity (CCN) with the PUCT following a review of public input on route link development and additional route analysis.

The final route is approved by the PUCT.
