Haviland - South HicksvilleTransmission Line Rebuild Project

AEP Ohio representatives plan power grid upgrades in western Ohio. The project involves updating about 25 miles of power line in the existing right-of-way between the Haviland Substation, located off Road 107 and 114, and south of Hicksville, about one mile from West High Street on Antwerp Drive. Upgrades improve reliability by replacing deteriorating infrastructure with more modern equipment.

The project involves:

  • Rebuilding about 25 miles of 69-kilovolt power line
  • Replacing wooden poles with steel poles
