Beatty - Stuart 345-kilovoltRemediation Project

AEP Ohio representatives plan power grid upgrades for customers in parts of Franklin, Pickaway, Adams, Highland, Ross and Pike counties. The Beatty - Stuart 345-kV Remediation Project involves upgrading Adkins Substation and increasing the height of 87 lattice towers by 5-25 feet along approximately 157 miles of 345-kilovolt transmission line, ensuring the continued safe operation of the transmission facilities.

Project Updates

Fall 2025: Company representatives announced the Beatty-Stuart 345-kV Remediation Project in November 2025.

Since it's hunting season, we want to make you aware that you may begin to see crews conducting field surveys in the coming weeks. Field crews conducting surveys plan to use existing roads or lanes, whenever possible, to access the power line. AEP Ohio employees and contractors wear hard hats and high-visibility vests, carry an ID badge and clearly display identification on vehicle dashboards.

For immediate questions, you can contact Robby Isaacs, CLS right-of-way agent, at 304-208-5878 or robby.isaacs@contractlandstaff.com.
