The Tuttle Area Power Improvements Project involves building approximately 13.5 miles of power line and a substation to improve reliability and customer quality of service. This includes:

Early 2024: As this project has evolved, timelines have shifted. PSO right-of-way representatives continue to contact affected landowners regarding easement acquisition, field activities and construction.
PSO representatives plan for the following construction schedule:
Spring 2023: As the project has developed, PSO representatives have shifted the construction schedule. PSO representatives plan for pre-construction activities to begin in early 2024, followed by substation construction in February 2024. Crews plan to start transmission and distribution line construction activities in spring 2024 and finish the project in fall 2024.
Early 2023: PSO representatives hosted an in-person open house at Tuttle city hall on Jan. 10, 2023, for affected members of the public to learn more about the project from project team members and ask questions of subject matter experts.
PSO representatives plan to install steel single poles for the transmission line and wooden single poles for the distribution line on this project.
