Southern OklahomaTransmission Improvements Project


The Southern Oklahoma Transmission Improvements Project is a PSO initiative to rebuild nearly 160 miles of 345-kilovolt electric transmission line through Comanche, Stephens, Carter, Johnston, Coal, Atoka and Pittsburg counties.

These improvements upgrade the local power grid in southern Oklahoma, strengthen transmission lines against severe weather impacts and reduce the likelihood of larger, community-wide power outages.
