Catoosa - VerdigrisTransmission Line Rebuild Project

Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) representatives plan to strengthen the electric system in southwestern Rogers County by rebuilding an aging transmission line. PSO representatives expect to begin construction in fall 2025 and conclude in late 2026.

The project involves:

  • Rebuilding about 11 miles of the 138-kilovolt Catoosa - Northeastern Power Station transmission line between PSO's Catoosa Substation in Catoosa and KAMO Power's Verdigris Substation in Verdigris
  • Rebuilding about 3 miles of lines connecting other substations to the Catoosa - Northeastern Power Station transmission line
  • Upgrading substation equipment along the power line route

Pre-construction activities may include:

  • Trimming or removing woody-stemmed vegetation, and removing or relocating non-habitable structures from PSO's right-of-way
  • Installing temporary gates, fencing and access roads
  • Installing culverts for water management
