The Bryson Switch - Coolville Transmission Improvements Project involves:
The upgrades enhance electric reliability for customers in the area by increasing capacity with an additional source of power. Replacing aging infrastructure from the 1960s with modern equipment provides operational flexibility for the system to reroute power and accelerate restoration during outages.
Early 2026: AEP Ohio representatives hosted an in-person open house on February 4 for the community to view detailed maps, ask questions and share their thoughts about the proposed study segments with project representatives.
If you were unable to attend the in-person event, or would like additional information, you can view our virtual open house using the link located on the right.
We are accepting feedback for this project until Friday, February 20. Please share your thoughts by using the comment form at the bottom of this page, emailing or calling us.
