Western Fort WayneArea Improvements Project

Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) plans to strengthen the electric transmission system in north-east Indiana. The proposed improvements in Allen and Whitley counties involve building about 14 miles of new power line, rebuilding about 11 miles of power lines, upgrading several local substations and building a new substation. These improvements increase reliability, reduce power outages and speed recovery of service when outages occur.
