Weleetka - OkemahTransmission Line Rebuild Project


Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) representatives plan to rebuild about 12 miles of 69-kilovolt (kV) transmission line in Okfuskee County. This project strengthens the local electric system and provides more reliable service for area customers. Crews plan to start construction in spring 2025 and finish in late 2025.

Project Updates

Fall 2023: PSO representatives announced this project in mid-August. O.R. Colan Associates (ORC) serves as PSO's right-of-way representative for this project. ORC representatives plan to begin contacting affected landowners in early 2024 to discuss field activities, easement acquisition and construction. As this project has evolved, the timeline has shifted. PSO representatives plan to start construction on this project in spring 2025 and conclude by late 2025.
