Tidd-Wagenhals 138kV Transmission Line Extension

AEP Ohio plans improve the electric transmission and distribution power grid in Carroll County. The Tidd-Wagenhals 138kV Transmission Line Extension consists of building a 138-kilovolt (kV) transmission line that will power a new substation. The projected costs of the upgrades are approximately $1 million, an investment that will enhance reliability and accommodate future growth in the region by strengthening the electric infrastructure.

The company plans to construct the new Tidd-Wagenhals 138kV transmission line in Brown Township in Carroll County. The new transmission line will be less than a half mile long.

    Proposed Structures

Single-pole, steel structures have been selected for the new section of transmission line that will provide power to the substation. This will minimize the physical impact of the facilities. Poles will be approximately 120 feet tall.
