Powering Up Greater South Bend

The Powering Up Greater South Bend Program is an approximately $170 million investment designed to improve reliability and bring additional capacity to northern Indiana. The program will upgrade, replace and modernize aging facilities to better serve customers and support economic development.

The program will improve service for customers, reduce power outages and speed recovery of service if outages occur. Reconfiguring the electric grid in northern Indiana is essential to ensure substations can still be served from another source if an outage occurs.
